March, 2003 -- The Commission -- She is tall and thin, nearly gaunt with long slim pointed ears and long tapering fingers. Her hair is artfully arranged in a decorated coif atop her head with ringlets falling down her back. Her eyes gaze about unflinchingly and her body is draped in a flowing grey robe with only her head and hands exposed when she is not dressed for battle. The womans visible skin is flawless, pale and nearly translucent

Here's the face and basic expression I had in mind.

Her face should be thinner, right now she looks a little too healthy =) I love her expression though! She looks cold and and kind of angry, its great.

(right) Here's a slightly different take on the face and body. Haven't really done much with the robe yet.

I've scanned in the finished sketch and have done a basic colour rough over top just to see how it will all fit together.

(right)Started the colouring for real. I've decided I'll work with some pretty heavy shadows to emphasize the mysteries nature of the character.

That will teach me to pay attention. For some reason I started making her robe white instead of grey. I was able to modify it without having to go back and redo the whole thing. Thank goodness for photoshop!

BTW, if you've noticed a change in the layout of this page, it's because I'm in the middle of modifying the website as a whole. You'll see the results soon.

(right)Added a bit more. The skin colour I'm working with is a little too pink, I think. I'll desaturate it a bit to keep everything fairly colourless.
