March, 2003 -- The Commission -- The character's name is Imre, and Imre unusual in that the character changes from male to female and back again. Imre's personality is cheerful and optimistic, always ready to buck up comrades or look on the bright side of a bad situation. What I'm looking for is a full-figure drawing that shows both the male and female version of the character. It is an erotic fantasy game, so at least some skin should be showing on both characters.

This is the very basic pose I have in mind. The two characters will be in almost mirror poses of each other. I'm envisioning a night sky with two moons in the opposite corners behind them.

(right) Here's the rough sketch of female Imre so far. I think I'm going to have her wear an open vest of some kind. Haven't decide on whether to go with leggings or a skirt. Actually, since this is kind of an erotic character, maybe I'll sex her up with something totally impractical. :)

"I like the overall concept and direction you're taking it. And I think sexy and impractical is definitely better for both versions of the character. :)"

Here are the two versions of the characters so far. I've got the female's outfit more or less finished. I can still trim the bracer if you like. The male will be wearing something very similar, a mirror image of what she is wearing (minus the top, of course).

This is the final rough sketch, a little cropped. In the background I plan on putting some kind of urban skyline and a moon, mirrored on each side.

I've scanned it into Photoshop and got to work on the background. It's a little more detail than I usually do for full-figure portraits, but I think it's the best way to get across the concept. I haven't mirrored it yet, and I'll probably be making the moon(s) into crescents. You get the idea, though.

Here's the sky mirrored, with a little more work done on the figures. I've added in the highlights and have done some blending on the male's torso.

Another day or so of work and the figures are coming along nicely. I've been experimenting with different moon phases, but I think I might stick with full moons on each side. Nothing else looks quite as nice.

Done a little work on the faces and some detail work on the outfits. And don't worry, I've added a little to his 'package'. If that's not enough, let me know. ;)
